W.E. B.E.S.T. PRIN Project Team’s Active Participation at the 17th Annual Conference of the Euromed Academy of Business

The W.E. B.E.S.T. PRIN Project team from the University of Foggia and the University of Palermo participated in the 17th Annual Conference of the Euromed Academy of Business, held from September 11th-13th, 2024, at the University of Pisa, Italy. The conference, themed “Global Business Transformation in a Turbulent Era,” featured six presentations from the project team across a variety of key sessions.

Professor Antonino Galati, the local coordinator of the W.E. B.E.S.T. PRIN Project at the University of Palermo, served as a discussant in Session 05 – Track 43: Social Issues in Business and Management, where Ph.D. Dr. Nino Adamashvili, Research Fellow at the University of Palermo under the project, presented a study titled “Social Media’s Role in Fostering Responsible and Sustainable Behaviour Among Young People of Generation Z.” This research was co-authored by Adriano Biondo (Department of Business Organisation, Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain), Maria Crescimanno, and Antonino Galati (both from the Department of Agricultural, Food and Forest Sciences, University of Palermo, Italy).

Professor Antonino Galati acted as a discussant also in the Session 06– Track 45: Supply Chain Management in the Modern Era and Session 07– Track 20: Food and Agriculture Management, where Dr. Giorgi Patsatsia, a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Palermo from Georgian Technical University (Tbilisi, Georgia), presented the research “Injective Blockchain in the Agri-Food Industry: Bridging Gaps and Unlocking Untapped Potential,” co-authored by Nino Adamashvili, Giorgi Patsatsia, Jenna Peterson (CEO of Injective Blockchain), and Antonino Galati.

In the same session, Dr. Maria Rosaria Maschio, a Ph.D. student at the University of Salento and the University of Foggia, presented a study titled “What About Integrating Biodiversity Conservation into Vineyard Management Strategies? A Bibliometric Analysis and Systematic Literature Review,” co-authored by Nino Adamashvili and Professor Mariantonietta Fiore.

Ph.D., Dr. Nino Adamashvili also presented a case study titled “Precision Agriculture Technologies’ Impact on the Profitability of Wine-Growing Companies: A Case Study in Italy,” co-authored by Riccardo Testa, Giuseppina Migliore, Maria Crescimanno, Giorgio Schifani, and Antonino Galati.

Professor Mariantonietta Fiore, the scientific coordinator of the W.E. B.E.S.T. PRIN Project, was a discussant in Session 04 – Track 23: The Power of Human Resources in Business and Society and served as a session chair for Session 05 and Session 08 – Track 13: Issues on Economics and Finance. In this session, Karapinar Emrah, a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Foggia from Turkey, presented the work “The European Green Deal and Turkey: Chances for Green Tech Transition and Market Growth. A Bibliometric Analysis and Systematic Literature Review,” co-authored by Leonardo Roberto Rana (Department of Economics, the University of Foggia), Mariantonietta Fiore, and Maria Rosaria Maschio.
