The second kick-off meeting

The second kick-off meeting of the WE BEST project “Wine EVOO – Blockchain Et Smart ContracT” was held on April 21, 2023, at the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Marche. The meeting was organized and chaired by Professor Adele Finco (UNIVPM) as deputy scientific coordinator of the project. While the meeting was moderated by Professor Francesco Contò (UNIFG – lead partner) as scientific coordinator of whole project.

WE-BEST project is funded under the PRIN 2020 – Italian Research Projects of National Relevance.

The project partners – UNIMOL, UNIPA, UNIVPM, UNIFG, UNICA, UNIFEDERICO II – took part in the meeting and discussed the activities already carried out and the results produced during the first year of work.

Besides already foreseen activities by the project, additional plans have been made for various other tasks to be carried out in the future such as publication of a research paper in the journals “Informatics“, “Computers“, “Sustainability“, and “EuroMed Journal of business”.

Furthermore, UNIFG has proposed participation in the seminar “Blockchain, social technology” organized by AIQUAV where the speaker is Eraldo Vaccargiu, president of EVODIGITALE; and participation in the event at Excelsior (Bari) organized by AIQUAV in collaboration with the University of Bari.

Last but not least, in view of the WPs to experience the level of the lessons, UNIFG has proposed a short training on the blockchain with Eraldo Vaccargiu involving the project partners and 3/4 farmers.
